1. Who we are
Master The Draught is operated by Justin Brunson (the "seller", "we", "us"), a sole proprietor doing business as Master The Draught. We act as the data controller for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us at hello@masterthedraught.com.
2. Information we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, certification goal, login credentials, and the activity you generate inside the product (quiz attempts, study progress, streaks, support messages). We also collect basic technical data (device identifiers, IP address, browser type) to operate and secure the service. We do not collect payment card details directly — those are handled by our payment provider, Paddle.

We use your information to (a) provide and operate the service and personalize your study experience — legal basis: performance of a contract; (b) send essential transactional emails such as sign-up confirmation and password resets — legal basis: performance of a contract; (c) secure the service, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the product — legal basis: legitimate interests; (d) comply with tax, accounting and other legal obligations — legal basis: legal obligation; and (e) send optional product updates where you have opted in — legal basis: consent. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data with the following categories of recipients:
- Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle") — our payment provider and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles all orders, billing, subscription management, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, refunds, and related customer support.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — managed cloud providers that store account data and serve the application.
- Email delivery provider — used to send transactional emails from
notify.www.masterthedraught.com. - Professional advisers (legal, accounting) and government authorities where required by law.
5. Data retention
We keep account and study-progress data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, billing and tax records, which Paddle and we may retain for up to 7 years).
6. Security
Account and progress data are stored on managed cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel.
